Fundashon Bos di Hubentut is an organization established in Curaçao in 1993. We are dedicated to fostering the education and development of our youth across social, cultural, political, and economic domains. We strongly advocate for the prevention of child abuse, with a particular focus on combatting sexual abuse. Through collaboration with organizations, professionals, and our BOS friends, we strive to raise awareness about the rights of our youth in Curaçao.
Never one to shy away from challenges, we are at the forefront of addressing the issue of child and youth sexual abuse in Curaçao. As the first organization on the island to openly discuss this sensitive topic, we boldly introduced the 'Kibrando e Gritunan Silensioso' (Break the Silent Screams) project.
Our foundation's primary goal is to educate, inform, and increase awareness among our children. By doing so, we aim to empower them and create a safer environment for their growth and development.
1993 - FBH IS BORN
Fundashon Bos di Hubentut came into existence when Anne-Sheila Albertoe and her mother established it in their home on Guruboeroeweg. They passionately organized various activities for young people, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey.
Mrs. Silvia Albertoe-Jano, may she rest in peace, was one of the founders and supporters of the Bos di Hubentut Foundation. Not only did she provide her heart and home, but she also generously assisted in organizing activities for the youth. She supported her daughter, Mrs. Anne-Sheila Albertoe, wholeheartedly, believing in the mission and cherishing the youth that Bos di Hubentut stands for.
2003 - HEFKE
In 2003, Fundashon Bos di Hubentut started the project called HEFKE (Hóben Empresario Formando Kreando Edukando).
The vision of HEFKE is to raise awareness, educate, and empower young entrepreneurs who will collaborate using a cooperative model to contribute to reducing youth unemployment.
The mission of HEFKE is to motivate and guide a group of young people in adopting an effective cooperative mindset through training and education.
2003 - HÓBEN GOBERNÁ
In the same year, 2003, Fundashon Bos di Hubentut started the project Hóben Goberná (Youth Parliament). The Hóben Goberná project aims to provide a platform for educating the youth of Curaçao / Dutch Caribbean and its youth organizations about politics.
It focuses on highlighting political issues that impact young people and aims to raise political awareness and encourage youth participation in current social developments. By involving the perspectives of young people in political discussions, the project seeks to generate increased interest and provide a balanced overview of politics to the youth.
2004 - YOUTH BRIGADE
In 2004, Fundashon Bos di Hubentut founded the Brigada di Seguridat i Formashon (Youth Brigade). The Youth Brigade for Security and Education is a program aimed at fostering discipline, self-confidence, self-esteem, and responsibility among its members. It serves as a model to inspire peers to embrace these qualities. To achieve this, the Youth Brigade provides comprehensive training in physical, mental, cognitive, and social aspects. Another objective is to enhance their sense of citizenship through volunteering and providing assistance during public activities involving children and youth.
Please note the Youth Brigade was transferred to the Youth in Development foundation.
2006 - BREAKING THE SILENT SCREAMS
In 2006, Fundashon Bos di Hubentut started perhaps the most extensive project to date. The Kibrando e Gritunan Silensioso (Breaking the Silent Screams) project is dedicated to raising awareness within the Curaçao / Dutch Caribbean community about the issue of child abuse, with a specific focus on sexual violence.
Kibrando e Gritunan Silensioso serves as a platform to provide information, awareness, and support for the care and supervision of children and adults affected by abuse. The prevention of sexual abuse and domestic violence is our top priority.

2018 - BLACK SQUAD MARCHING BAND
In 2018, Fundashon Bos di Hubentut started the Marching Band project, also known as Black Squad, aims to inspire and empower young individuals by fostering a sense of teamwork and collaboration. Through their participation in the marching band, youth are encouraged to develop crucial skills such as effective communication, discipline, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
Additionally, the project serves as a platform for nurturing their musical talents, providing them with the opportunity to explore and refine their skills in a supportive and creative environment. By being part of the marching band, young people can experience the joy of music, enhance their self-expression, and build lifelong friendships and memories.
2018 - SMART YOUTH
In 2018, Fundashon Bos di Hubentut started the Smart Youth project. Here, we provide young individuals a structured opportunity to develop their communication skills across various domains. Through this initiative, they are empowered to address topics such as education, sexuality, drugs, cultural dynamics, climate change and its impacts.
The project creates an environment where participants can gain valuable knowledge, engage in meaningful discussions, and learn how to navigate these critical issues. By enhancing their communication abilities, we aim to equip young people with the tools they need to express themselves, make informed decisions, and contribute positively to their communities.
