LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR JOURNEY

Fundashon Bos di Hubentut is an organization established in Curaçao in 1993. We are dedicated to fostering the education and development of our youth across social, cultural, political, and economic domains. We strongly advocate for the prevention of child abuse, with a particular focus on combatting sexual abuse. Through collaboration with organizations, professionals, and our BOS friends, we strive to raise awareness about the rights of our youth in Curaçao.

Never one to shy away from challenges, we are at the forefront of addressing the issue of child and youth sexual abuse in Curaçao. As the first organization on the island to openly discuss this sensitive topic, we boldly introduced the 'Kibrando e Gritunan Silensioso' (Break the Silent Screams) project.

Our foundation's primary goal is to educate, inform, and increase awareness among our children. By doing so, we aim to empower them and create a safer environment for their growth and development.

OUR HISTORY: YEAR TO YEAR

Discover the inspiring journey of Fundashon Bos di Hubentut. From its humble beginnings in 1993 to becoming a leading advocate for children's rights in Curaçao, explore our impactful milestones and commitment to creating a brighter future for the youth.

1993 - FBH IS BORN

Fundashon Bos di Hubentut came into existence when Anne-Sheila Albertoe and her mother established it in their home on Guruboeroeweg. They passionately organized various activities for young people, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey.

Mrs. Silvia Albertoe-Jano, may she rest in peace, was one of the founders and supporters of the Bos di Hubentut Foundation. Not only did she provide her heart and home, but she also generously assisted in organizing activities for the youth. She supported her daughter, Mrs. Anne-Sheila Albertoe, wholeheartedly, believing in the mission and cherishing the youth that Bos di Hubentut stands for.

Additionally, the project serves as a platform for nurturing their musical talents, providing them with the opportunity to explore and refine their skills in a supportive and creative environment. 2018 - SMART YOUTH

In 2018, Fundashon Bos di Hubentut started the Smart Youth project. Here, we provide young individuals a structured opportunity to develop their communication skills across various domains. Through this initiative, they are empowered to address topics such as education, sexuality, drugs, cultural dynamics, climate change and its impacts.

The project creates an environment where participants can gain valuable knowledge, engage in meaningful discussions, and learn how to navigate these critical issues. By enhancing their communication abilities, we aim to equip young people with the tools they need to express themselves, make informed decisions, and contribute positively to their communities.
